As you begin planning your spring work schedules, please save the date of Tuesday, April 28, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. for a Suicide Awareness Program that will be convened by the Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism.
The Commission seeks Satellite Viewing Locations across the State of Georgia to make the program as accessible as possible to everyone in the Georgia legal community (lawyers, non-lawyer judges, court reporters, court staff, paralegals, legal assistants, etc). The members of the planning team for the program are Judge Clyde L. Reese III, Court of Appeals of Georgia (State Bar of Georgia SOLACE Committee Co-Chair); Judge Render Heard, Tifton County Juvenile Court (State Bar of Georgia SOLACE Committee Co-Chair), Judge Shondeana Crews Morris (State Bar of Georgia Suicide Prevention Committee Chair) and Mr. Joe Chancey (Managing Partner, Drew Eckl Farnham). Staff support is being provided by Ms. Karlise Y. Grier, Ms. Bonne Cella, and Ms. Layne Bridges.
Registration to attend the program will open in March.
- The cost to attend the program is $25 for any Member of the State Bar of Georgia who wants CLE credit.
- The program is $0 for any lawyer who does not want CLE credit and for any other persons wishing to attend.
