The Planning Team for the Suicide Awareness Program is closely monitoring the situation with the Coronavirus COVID-19 disease. If public health considerations permit, the Planning Team hopes to hold this program in person on April 30, 2021, from 2 pm – 5 pm; however, the Planning Team is still considering a variety of factors to determine the best manner in which to hold the program.

The members of the planning team for the program are Judge Clyde L. Reese III, Court of Appeals of Georgia (State Bar of Georgia SOLACE Committee Co-Chair); Judge Render Heard, Tifton County Juvenile Court (State Bar of Georgia SOLACE Committee Co-Chair), Judge Shondeana Crews Morris (State Bar of Georgia Suicide Prevention Committee Chair) and Mr. Joe Chancey (Managing Partner, Drew Eckl Farnham). Staff support is being provided by Ms. Karlise Y. Grier, Ms. Bonne Cella, and Ms. Layne Bridges.
Registration to attend the program may open soon.
- The cost to attend the program is $0 (FREE); however, any Member of the State Bar of Georgia who wants CLE credit will be responsible for paying the cost of the CLE credit directly to the State Bar of Georgia’s CLE Department;
- The program is open to ALL members of the legal community including non-lawyer judges, paralegals; legal assistants, court reporters, bailiffs, law students, and all other members of the legal community.
