A FREE to attend CLE Virtual Only via Zoom on December 13, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 Noon.

The CLE has been approved in Georgia for 2 hours of CLE Credit, including 1 hour of ethics CLE credit, 1 hour of professionalism CLE credit, and 2 hours of trial CLE credit.

Attorneys are responsible for paying the CLE fees required by the Commission on Continuing Lawyer Competency to maintain the CLE on their CLE transcript.

During the CLE, the panelists will discuss professionalism and ethics issues that lawyers face when serving as a witness in ineffective assistance of counsel hearings and/or as a witness in Brady claim hearings. Commission member and William Augustus Bootle Chair in Ethics and Professionalism in the Practice of Law at Mercer University School of Law, Professor Patrick Longan and Assistant Professor of Law, Mercer University School of Law, Meagan Hurley, drafted hypothetical problems that the panelists will use to discuss the relevant issues during the CLE.
