Professionalism Learning Objectives:

  • To acquaint Bar members with the Commission’s Mission Statement and Calling to Tasks, including the aspiration that lawyers and judges fulfill their obligations to improve the law and the legal system and to ensure access to that system.See https://cjcpga.org/mission/
  • To highlight various aspects of A Lawyer’s Creed and the Aspirational Statement on Professionalism including tenets on cooperation, inclusion, and educating the public about the legal system, among others.

Judge’s Perspective: What Do We Want to Keep Post-SJEO?
A panel of Council of Class of Court Presidents or their designees will discuss what each class of court is considering in terms of changes to court rules or Georgia code to maintain practices that the courts want to continue after the SJEO.  The panel will also provide suggestions for how each class of court wants lawyers and/or judges to engage in the process of court rules or code changes.
