2024 Law School Orientations on Professionalism

2024 Law School Orientations Information

Each year, the Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism and the State Bar of Georgia Committee on Professionalism hold Law School Orientations at each of Georgia’s five law schools.  The orientations are designed to provide incoming 1Ls with their first introduction to professionalism.  Georgia lawyers and judges are invited to serve as “Group Leaders” during the orientations to help students learn the meaning of professionalism and why it is important for them as law students.

If you are a Group Leader and you did not receive the password via e-mail, please email [email protected].

Group Leaders, including Commission Member Adwoa Seymour, facilitate a professionalism discussion during a 2018 Law School Orientation on Professionalism

Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to serve as a Group Leader. We had a total of 162 Group Leaders as the total count for all schools. However, several individuals participated twice, so the total number of individual lawyers and judges who participated is smaller.  We had 18 lawyers and judges who served at two (2) different schools on two (2) different dates. One Group Leader, Judge Christopher McFadden, served as a Group Leader at three (3) different schools on three (3) different dates. The State Bar of Georgia Committee on Professionalism (staffed by the Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism thanks ALL Group Leaders for helping to teach the next generation of lawyers about professionalism.
